Knowledge from your old man

There is always that one thing that your father used to say that will stick with you for the rest of your lives. Then you will tell your kids and so on and so on. What was some of the saying your father used to tell you that have stuck with you. What do you want to tell your kids or have told your kids. Here are a couple my dad used to tell me and some I will tell my kids…..

“You make a better door than you do a window.”

“We aint cooling the neighborhood”

“Don’t dream it, be it.”

“Believe”

“Never swing at the first pitch”

“Don’t sing with a fake British accent.”

“Dont shout out request at concerts”

“Surround yourself with people who are smarter than you”

“If you’ve made your point, stop talking”

“Eat lunch with the new kid.”

“Be sincere, Be brief, Be seated.”

“Take your sunglasses off inside”

“If you dont know what a knob does, dont touch it.”

“Cellphones have amplifiers, there’s no need to raise your voice.”

“The best thing you can give your neighbor is a well kept lawn.”

“The young man knows the rules, the old man knows the exceptions.”

“It’s not enough to be proud of your family, live up to it.”

“Write down your dreams.”

“Dont be eager to leave the kids table”

Here and There and In Between

The CD is out…. It has been a great past couple of weeks. As of right now you can only get the CD at one of the shows. It will be on Itunes and Rhapsody and in a few stores around the world in February. I played a CD release show at one of my favorite churches ever- Heights Church in Beech Island, SC (Where I sang my first song) last Sunday. It was great to share such a time with those guys… Then I headed out to Charlotte, NC and played for New Years Eve.. It is great to be back home but what a fun time… We have almost nailed down the date and place for the Nashville CD Release Show. So keep posted…Anyways heres some Fotos…..
